Construction Trades begins with safety standards to maintain safe use and operation of tools and machines. Students are introduced to many of the tools and processes of the woodworking craft, which includes project planning, tape measure reading, hand tools, portable and stationary power tools, material types and uses, joinery, fasteners and adhesives, and finishing. Students must complete assignments from the OSHA handbook as part of the Construction Trades course.
